General Information
The 24 Vdc notification appliance circuits must be a minimum of 18 AWG (0.75 mm
2
)
pair. Terminals on FireShield, QuickStart and EST3 will support 18-12 AWG wire.
Circuit length limits are determined using the maximum allowable circuit resistance and
cable manufacturer’s specifications.
Circuit capacity
FireShield notification appliance circuits are rated at 1.5 amps each at 24 Vdc FWR.
QuickStart notification appliance circuits are rated at 1 or 2 amps each at 24 Vdc FWR.
EST3 notification appliance circuits are rated at 3.5 amps each at 24 Vdc regulated.
