Installation Guide

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
1. Using BX (armored) or NM (Romex) cable, run the supply wiring from the power supply source
to the fixture location.
2. Open the hinged junction boxs door by lifting the metal latch.
3. Break off one of the knockouts using a screwdriver. Secure an appropriately sized cable
connector to the knockout opening. Feed the cable through the connector, providing 6” of slack
inside the junction box. Secure the cable in place.
4. Remove at least 3” of the cable’s outer sheath and remove the plastic or paper over-wrap. Strip
approximately 3/8” of insulation from the ends of all supply wires. Using the provided wire
connectors, make the following wire connections within the junction box [Fig. 9]:
WHITE Fixture Wire to WHITE (NEUTRAL) Supply Wire
BLACK Fixture Wire to BLACK (HOT) Supply Wire
GREEN Fixture Wire to GREEN / BARE (GROUND) Supply Wire
5. Close the junction box door until the metal latch snaps, making sure that all wiring and wire
connectors are contained within the box.
LED TRIM INSTALLATION
1. Break off the smaller knockout of the LED trim wiring box using a screwdriver. [Fig. 10] Feed
the frame’s cable and quick connector into the wiring box.
2. Connect the quick connector from the frame to the quick connector from the LED trim. [Fig. 11]
3. Adjust the color temperature using the CCT switch. [Fig. 12]
4. Lift the torsion springs upward and squeeze them inward. [Fig. 12].
5. Raise the trim toward the hole. Insert the squeezed torsion springs into the hole, making sure
they are aligned with the corners of the frame and are not the near the edges. [Fig. 12]
Release the torsion springs and carefully slide the trim into the hole until its edge is flush
against the ceiling.
DROP CEILING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use pliers to bend the two tabs at the ends of the hanger bars. [Fig. 7] Bend the tab closest to
the bar downward to a vertical position. [Fig. 7a] Curl the other tab upward about 180º. [Fig.
7b]
2. Select desired installation location. Remove drop ceiling panel from grid.
3. Mark the location of the hole for the frame opening on the panel. Use a keyhole saw to cut the
hole out. [Fig. 5] Replace the panel onto grid.
4. Place the frame onto the panel, aligning the opening with the hole. [Fig. 6]
5. Adjust the hanger bars so that the ends align with T-bars of the ceiling grid. Rest ends of the
hanger bars onto the T-bars. Secure the ends of the hanger bars to the T-bars by squeezing
the previously curled tabs around the top of the T-bar. [Fig. 8]
6. Pull the quick connector and the cable of each frame through the hole. [Fig. 6]
7. To connect power, follow the instructions in the “ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS” section.
