80 Troubleshooting
136: Indent ribbon break
The indent ribbon has broken or become jammed.
1. Unlock and open the embosser.
2. Remove the indent ribbon cartridge.
3. Trim the broken ends of the indent ribbon evenly and tape the ends together.
4. Check ribbon for correct routing indicated on cartridge. See Load Indent
Ribbon Cartridge for correct installation procedures.
5. Turn the take-up spool clockwise until the repaired section is wound onto the
take-up spool.
6. Replace the indent ribbon cartridge into the embosser.
7. Close and lock the embosser.
8. Send the card to print again.
137: Embosser wheel error
There is a card jam near the embossing wheel or the embossing mechanism failed
to reset itself after completing the last card job.
1. Unlock and open the embosser.
2. Check the reject tray and remove any cards. See Inside the Embosser for
more information.
3. Close and lock the embosser.
4. Send the card to print again.
138: Embosser indent error
The indent ribbon cartridge cannot advance the ribbon. This could be caused by
mechanical failure.
1. Unlock and open the embosser.
2. Remove the indent ribbon cartridge.
3. Inspect the indent ribbon cartridge.
4. Turn the take-up spool one full turn clockwise. See Inside the Embosser for
more information.
5. Replace the indent ribbon cartridge.
6. Close and lock the embosser.
7. Send the card to print again.
