5. PROGRAMMING THE VEHICLE TO RECOGNIZE THE KEYPAD
1. Close all doors.
2. Insert key into and remove it from ignition key cylinder quickly and repeatedly until hazard warning lamps flash twice.
Each vehicle is different, so it may take between 6 and 12 times before this will happen.
3. Insert ignition key into cylinder and turn to ACC position within five seconds of step 2.
4. Push the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons on the keypad simultaneously. The hazard warning lamps will then flash twice.
5. Open driver side door to end programming functions. Check operation of keyless entry system by pressing the 7/8 and 9/0
buttons simultaneously. If the doors do not lock, repeat section 5 starting at step 1. Remember that each programming step
must be completed within five seconds of the previous step. If the problem persists, check the vehicle owner’s manual for
programming key fobs, and check with a Nissan dealership to confirm that the keypad is compatible with your vehicle.
