Field Descriptions

Refer to Table 8-5 for a functional description of each screen field.

8.7 VLAN PORT CONFIGURATION SCREEN

When to Use

To see and/or make changes to the port parameters affecting

• the Port VLAN Identification (PVID) to reassign the port to a different PVID,

• the acceptable frame type that the port will transmit or receive frames of VLANs other than the

static VLANs created on the switch,

• the ingress filtering on the port, which can be enabled or disabled to filter out (drop) frames that

are not on the switch egress list, or

• the GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) status, which can be enabled or disabled.
