8-6 SecureStack A2 Configuration Guide
8.3.2 Configuring Priority to Transmit Queue Mapping
Purpose
To perform the following:
• View the current priority to transmit queue mapping of each physical port.
• Configure each port to either transmit frames according to the port priority, set using the set port
priority command described in Section 8.3.1.2, or according to a priority based on a percentage
of port transmission capacity, assigned to transmit queues using the set port txq command
described in Section 8.3.3.2.
• Clear current port priority queue settings for one or more ports.
Commands
The commands used in configuring transmit priority queues are listed below and described in the
associated section.
• show port priority-queue (Section 8.3.2.1)
• set port priority-queue (Section 8.3.2.2)
• clear port priority-queue (Section 8.3.2.3)
NOTE: Priority to transmit queue mapping on an individual port basis can only be configured on
Gigabit Ethernet ports (ge.x.x). When you use the set port priority-queue command to configure
a Fast Ethernet port (fe.x.x), the mapping values are applied globally to all Fast Ethernet ports on
the stack.
