Disabling or Reenabling a Port
Allportsareenabledbydefault.Toadministrativelydisableaport,usethefollow ingcommand:
set port {enable | disable} port-list
Aportthatisadministrativelydisabledcannotsendorreceivepackets.Thiscommanddoesnot
affectthelinkstateoftheport.
Resetting a Port
YoucanresetaportbytogglingitslinkstateandPoEstate.MSSdisablestheport’slinkandPoE(if
applicable)foratleastonesecond,thenreenablesthem.ThisfeatureisusefulforforcinganDAP
thatisconnectedtotwoRoamAboutswitchestorebootusingtheportconnected
totheother
switch.
Toresetaport,usethefollowingcommand:
reset port port-list
Note: The gigabit Ethernet ports operate at 1000 Mbps only. They do not change speed to match
10-Mbps or 100-Mbps links.
