ofyourRoamAboutSwitch’sconfigurationandstatus,whichyoucanshowtotheEnterasys
GlobalTechnicalAssistanceCenter(GTAC).
Displaying Technical Support Information
Theshowtech‐supportcommandcombinesagroupofshowcommandstoprovideanin‐depth
snapshotofthestatusoftheRAS.Theoutputdisplaysdetailsaboutthesystemimageand
configurationusedafterthelastreboot,theversion,ports,AAAsettings,andotherconfiguration
values,andthelast100 log
messages.

Sending Information to GTAC
GTACmightrequestthatyoucreate acopyoftheoutputfromtheshowtech‐supportcommand.
IfGTACrequestsyoutodoso,followthesesteps:
1. Typethecommandwithafilename.Forexample:
RBT-8100-# show tech-support file fortechsupport
success: results saved to fortechsupport.gz
2. CopythefiletotheTFTPserver.TypethefollowingcommandusingtheTFTPaddressand
filenamegiventoyoubyGTAC:
RBT-8100# copy fortechsupport.gz tftp://tftpserver/filename.gz
3. Emailfilename.gztoyourGTACrepresentative.
