Feature Explanation
Name Enter the name of the switch
IP Address Enter the IP Address of the switch
SNMP Port Enter the Simple Network Management Protocol
port number for this switch. This is normally 161, but
it can be different.
SNMP Version In this drop down menu list choose between v2c or
v3 as the SNMP version used.
Read Community Enter the Read Community string, which is used for
SNMP authentication
Write Community Enter the Write Community string, which is used for
SNMP authentication
SNMP User This is the name of the v3 user, which is configured
on the switch for SNMP v3 access.
Authentication Algorithm, Authentication
Passphrase, Privacy Algorithm,
Privacy Passphrase
These are all SNMP v3 parameters that have to
match what is set on the switch.
