Creating a New Profile
Tocreatearadioprofile,usethefollowingcommand:
set radio-profile name [mode {enable | disable}]
Specifyanameofupto16 alphanumericcharacters.Donotincludethemodeenableormode
disableoption.
Afteryoucreatetheradioprofile,youcanusetheenableanddisableoptionstoenableordisable
allradiosthatusetheprofile.
Example
Toconfigureanewradioprofilenamedrp1,typethefollowingcommand:
RBT-8100# set radio-profile rp1
success: change accepted.
Toassigntheprofiletooneormoreradios,usethesetapradioradioprofilecommand.

Changing Radio Parameters
Tochangeindividualparameterscontrolledbyaradioprofile,usethecommandsdescribedinthe
followingsections.
Changing the Beacon Interval
ThebeaconintervalistherateatwhicharadioadvertisesitsbeaconedSSID(s).Tochangethe
beaconinterval,usethefollowingcommand:
set radio-profile name beacon-interval interval
Theintervalcanbeavaluefrom25 msthrough8191 ms.Thedefaultis100.
ThebeaconintervaldoesnotchangeevenwhenadvertisementisenabledformultipleSSIDs.MSS
stillsendsonebeaconforeachSSID duringeachbeaconinterval.
Example
Tochangethebeaconintervalforradioprofilerp1 to200 ms,
typethefollowingcommand:
RBT-8100# set radio-profile rp1 beacon-interval 200
success: change accepted.
Note: You must disable all radios that are using a radio profile before you can change parameters in
the profile. (Refer to “Disabling or Reenabling All Radios Using a Profile” on page 9-52.)
