Clearing an AP from the Configuration
Tocleartheportsettingsfromaport,usethefollowingcommand:
clear port type port-list
ThiscommandresetstheportasanetworkportandremovesallAP‐relatedparametersfromthe
port.
ToclearaDistributedAP,usethefollowingcommand:
clear dap dap-num
Changing AP Names
ThedefaultnameofaDistributedAPisbasedonthenumberyouassigntoitwhenyouconfigure
theconnection.Forexample,thedefaultnameforDistributedAP 1isDAP01.

set {ap port-list | dap dap-num} name name
Changing Bias
TheCLIcommandsdescribedinthissectionenableyoutochangethebiasforanAP.
TochangethebiasofanAP,usethefollowingcommand:
set dap dap-num bias {high | low}
Thedefaultbiasishigh.
Example
TochangethebiasforanAPtolow,typethefollowingcommand:
RBT-8100# set dap 1 bias low
success: change accepted.
Caution: When you clear an AP, MSS ends user sessions that are using the AP.
Note: The clear port type command does not place the cleared port in any VLAN, not even in the
default VLAN (VLAN 1). To use the cleared port in a VLAN, you must add the port to the VLAN. (For
instructions, refer to “Adding Ports to a VLAN” on page 4-17.)
