Adding an NTP Server
ToaddanNTPservertothelistofNTPservers,usethefollowingcommand:
set ntp server ip-addr
Example
ToconfigureaRoamAboutSwitchtouseNTPserver192.168.1.5,typethefollowingcommand:
RBT-8100# set ntp server 192.168.1.5
Removing an NTP Server
ToremoveanNTPserver,usethefollowingcommand:
clear ntp server {ip-addr | all}
Ifyouusethealloption,MSSclearsallNTPserversconfiguredontheswitch.
Note: If NTP is configured on a system whose current time differs from the NTP server time by more
than 10 minutes, convergence of the RoamAbout Switch time may take many NTP update intervals.
Enterasys Networks recommends that you set the time manually to the NTP server time before
enabling NTP to avoid a significant delay in convergence.
