View the Service Profile’s Access Rules
Everyserviceprofilerequiresaccessrules.TheaccessrulesspecifytheusernamesorMAC
addressesthatareallowedtoaccesstheSSID.Theserviceprofilewizardsautomaticallycreate
accessrulesthatmatchonallusernamesor,forVoWIPservices,thatmatchonallMACaddresses.
Toviewan802.1Xserviceprofile’s
accessrules:
1. SelecttheserviceprofileintheWirelessServiceProfilestable(locatedintheContentpanel)
ASetupgroupappearsintheTaskListpanel.
2. IntheTaskListpanel,select802.1XAccess.
TheConfigure802.1XAccesswizardappears.Thewizarddisplaystheencryptionsettings,
accessrules,andAAAsettingsfor
theserviceprofileandallowsyoutochangethem.Youalso
canconfigurenewaccessrulesusingthewizard.
3. ClickNexttopagethroughthewizarduntilthe802.1XAccessRulespageappears.
The802.1XAccessRulespageliststheaccessrulesconfiguredfortheserviceprofile.Theuserglob
andSSID
nameareshown.Theuserglobcanbeaspecificusername,partofausernamewitha
wildcardcharacter(*),ortwowildcardcharacters(**)tomatchonallusernam es.
The802.1XServiceProfilewizardusesthe**userglobintheaccessrule.Youcanusethisrule,
modifyit,ordelete
itandcreateanewone.Youalsocancreateadditionalrules.Forsyntax
