Generate Alarm Reports
8-10 Managing Alarms
Alarm History Report
TheFaultHistoryreportprovidesalistofallfaultsinthesystemthatwereactivewithina
specifiedtimeperiod.RASMallowsyoutosortthefaultsbysource,severity,orcategory.
TogenerateanAlarmHistoryreport:
1. ClickAlarmHistoryintheTaskpanel underReports.TheAlarmHistoryReport
dialogbox
appears.
2. SelectthedesiredReportScopetypefromthelist.Youcanselectoneofthefollowingscope
types:
•NetworkPlan
• MobilityDomain
•Site
• Building
• Floor
3. SelectthedesiredReportScopeinstancefromthelist.
4. Enterthedateyouwouldlikethereporttobegin intheStartDatefieldornavigateto
the
desireddatefromthecalendar.
5. EnterthedesiredStartTimeinthe fieldornavigatethroughtheupordownarrows.
6. EnterthedateyouwouldlikethereporttoendintheEndDatefieldornavigatetothedesired
datefromthecalendar.
7. EnterthedesiredEndTimein
thefieldornavigatethroughthe upordownarrows.
8. Ifnecessary, browsetothedesiredoutputdirectoryintheOutputDirectorybox.Navigateto
thedesiredlocationandclickSelect.
9. ClickGenerateinthebottomrightcorner.
10. Aftergeneratingthereport,clickthebluehyperlinkintheResultsboxtoview
thereport.
RASMopensthereportinanewwindowandsavesitatthepreviouslyselectedlocation.
11. ClickCloseinthebottomrightcorneroftheAlarmSummaryReportdialogbox.
• Security—ProvidesareportofDoSandIDSalarms.
•ClientOUI—ProvidesalistofalarmsaccordingtotheOrganizationallyUniqueIdentifier
of
theclientforwhichthealarmsweregenerated.
Security and Client OUI Reports
SecurityreportslistDoSandIDSalarms,andClientOUIreportslistalarmsaccordingtothe
OrganizationallyUniqueIdentifieroftheclientforwhichthealarmsweregenerated.The
procedureforgeneratingbothtypesofreportsisthesame.
TogenerateaSecurityorClientOUIreport:
1. SelecttheReportsoptionin
themainRASMtoolbar.
2. SelectAlarmReportsintheReportCategorycolumn.
3. SelecttheReporttypefromtheReportslist.
