WhenafaultoccursinRASM,theFaultManagementSystemoffersameanstocategorizethefault
byfunctionalareaandseverity.
Dependingonthefunctionalareainwhichafaultoccurs,thefaultcanbeassignedtooneofthe
followingcategories:
•System
•Performance
•Security
•Client
RASMalsoorganizesfaultsbythefollowingseverities:
•Critical
(Red)
•Major(Orange)
Minor(Yellow)
Informational(Blue)
RASMdisplaysasinglefaultmanagementtablethatallowsyoutoviewallfaultrelated
information,includingthefault’sfunctionalareaandseverity,adescriptionofthefault,the
RoamAboutswitchthatisthesourceofthefault,thecurrentstateofthefault,and
tasksyoucan
performtorespondtothefault,includingalarmmanagement,resolutions,andreports.
Search Capabilities
RASMuserscansortsystemfaultsbasedonanyofthecolumnsinthetable.RASMsortsfault
eventsonthedateofoccurrenceasToday,Yesterday,LastWeek,orLastMonth.RASMcanalso
sortfaultsbasedonCategory,Source,Severity,andTime.Otherstandard,commonlyusedfilters
arealso
available,suchasCurrentHour,CurrentDay,andtextsearch.Toperformatextsearch,
typethedesireddescriptioninthetextboxlocatedinthealarmfiltertoolbar.
Usethefaultdashboard,shownbelow,locatedabovethealarmdetailspaneltogatherspecific
dataaboutparticularalarms.Thelistsallow
youtofilteryourresultsbyselectingcriteria.
