Command Usage
•IfthepacketsizeissmallerthanthepresetFragmentsize,thepacketwillnotbesegmented.
•FragmentationofthePDUs(PackageDataUnit)canincreasethereliabilityoftransmissions
becauseitincreasestheprobabilityofasuccessfultransmissionduetosmallerframesize.If
thereissignificantinterference
present,orcollisionsduetohighnetworkutilization,try
settingthefragmentsizetosendsmallerfragments.Thiswillspeeduptheretransmission
ofsmallerframes.However,itismoreefficienttosetthefragmentsizelargerifverylittleor
nointerferenceispresentbecauseitrequiresoverheadtosend
multipleframes.
