Command Usage
•YoumustassignanIPaddresstothisdevicetogainmanagementaccessoverthenetwork
ortoconnecttheaccesspointtoexistingIPsubnets.Youcanmanuallyconfigureaspecific
IPaddressusingtheipaddresscommand,ordirectthedevicetoobtainanaddressfroma
DHCP
serverusingthiscommand.
•Whenyouusethiscommand,theaccesspointwillbeginbroadcastingDHCPclient
requests.ThecurrentIPaddress(i.e.,defaultormanuallyconfiguredaddress)willcontinue
tobeeffectiveuntilaDHCPreplyisreceived.Requestswillbebroadcastperiodicallyby
thisdeviceinan
efforttolearnitsIPaddress.(DHCPvaluescanincludetheIPaddress,
subnetmask,anddefaultgateway.)
