Syntax
ip address <ip-address> <netmask> <gateway>

addressbitsusedforroutingtospecificsubnets

Command Usage
•YoumustassignanIPaddresstothisdevicetogainmanagementaccessoverthenetwork
ortoconnecttheaccesspointtoexistingIPsubnets.Youcanmanuallyconfigureaspecific
IPaddressusingthiscommand,ordirectthedevicetoobtainanaddressfromaDHCP
serverusing
theipdhcpcommand.ValidIP addressesconsistoffournumbers,0to255,
separatedbyperiods. Anythingoutsidethisformatwillnotbeacceptedbythe
configurationprogram.
•DHCPisenabledbydefault.TomanuallyconfigureanewIPaddress,youmustfirst
disabletheDHCPclientwith
thenoipdhcpcommand.
