•EchorequestsareusedtoverifytheintegrityofthelinkthroughthePPP oEtunnel.Devices
ateitherendofthelinkcanissueanecho‐request.Devicesreceivinganecho‐requestmust
returnanecho‐reply.
•Ifalinkisbusywithlargedatatransfers,theecho‐reply
maynotbeissuedinatimely
mannercausingthelinktotimeout.Ifyouexperiencethiskindofproblem,tryextending
theechointervalortimeout.
