Matching Order for Globs
Ingeneral,theorderinwhichyouenterAAAcommandsdeterminestheorderinwhichMSS
matchestheuser,MACaddress,orVLANtoaglob.Toverifytheorder,viewtheoutputofthe
showaaaorshowconfigcommand.MSSchecksglobsthatappearhigherinthelistbefore
items
lowerinthelistandusesthefirstsuccessfulmatch.
Port Lists
ThephysicalEthernetportsonaRAScanbesetforconnectiontoaccesspoints,authenticated
wiredusers,orthenetworkbackbone.YoucanincludeasingleportormultipleportsinoneMSS
CLIcommandbyusingtheappropriatelistformat.
TheportsonaRASarenumbered1through
2or4dependingontheswitch.Noport 0existson
theswitch.Youcanincludeasingleportormultipleportsinacommandthatincludes
portport‐list.Useoneofthefollowingformatsforport ‐li st:
•Asingleportnumber.Forexample:

•Acomma‐separatedlistofportnumbers,withnospaces.Forexample:

•Ahyphen‐separatedrangeofportnumbers,withnospaces.Forexample:

Virtual LAN Identification
Thenamesof virtualLANs(VLANs),whichareusedinMobilityDomaincommunications,areset 
byyouandcanbechanged.Incontrast,VLANIDnumbers,whichtheRASuseslocally,are
determinedwhentheVLANisfirstconfiguredandcannotbechanged.Unlessotherwise
indicated,youcanreferto
aVLANbyeitheritsVLANnameoritsVLANnumber.CLIsetand
showcommandsuseaVLAN’snameornumbertouniquelyidentifytheVLANwithintheRAS.
