Bydefault,DVMRPisdisabledgloballyonEnterasysMatrixN‐Series,SecureStackC2andC3,and
G‐Seriesdevicesandattachedinterfaces.BasicDVMRPconfigurationincludesthefollowing
steps:
1. CreatingandenablingVLANs.
2. EnablingIGMPonthedevice(onlyforSecureStackC2andC3devicesandG‐Seriesdevices)
andonthe
VLANs.
3. EnablingDVMRPontheVLANs.
BothProcedure 4andProcedure 5assumethefollowing:
•VLANshavebeenconfiguredandenabledwithIPinterfaces.
