Switchdefinitionsandpositionsareasfollows:
•Switches1through6–ForEnterasys Networksuseonly.
•Switch7–ClearPersistentData.Changing
thepositionofthisswitchclearsPersistent
Dataonthenextpower‐upofthemodule.Alluser‐enteredparameters(suchastheIP
address,modulenames,andsoforth)areresettothefactorydefaultsettings.Once
themoduleresets,youcaneitherusethefactorydefaultsettingsorreenter
yourown
parameters.
•Switch8–ClearAdminPassword.Changingthepositionofthisswitchclearsthe
adminpassword,andrestoresthefactorydefaultpasswordonthenextpower‐upof
themodule.Oncethemoduleresets,youcaneitherusethefactorydefaultsettingsor
reenteryourownpassword.
