SpanningTreewillblockredundantpaths).

Matrix E7chassis,itisnecessarytohaveaDFEbridgingmoduleinstalledandfollowthe
instructionsdescribedin“ModulePlacementandRules”onpage 3‐9tosuccessfully
bridgedatatraffictosomeorallmodules
intheMatrix E7chassis.Atthetimeofthis
printing,theFTM1‐to‐FTM2bridgingmodulesavailableare:7H4382‐25,7H4382‐49,
7H4383‐49,and7H4385‐49.

operateatGigabit
speed.
Note: The optional Mini-GBIC copper wire connection supports Category 5 UTP cabling
with an impedance of between 85 and 111 ohms for 1000 Mbps operation.
