The7G428019has18,1000BASEXcompliantfrontpanelportsthatsupportavarietyof
optionalSmallFormFactorPluggable(SFP)GigabitconnectionsusingoptionalMini
GigabitInterfaceCards(MGBICs).Thereisalsoaslotforan optionalEthernetinterface
module7G6MGBICor7G6MGBICA.
The7G428019
canbeinstalledinaMatrix E7, N7,N5,N3orN1chassis,butonly
supportsFTM2databackplaneinterconnectionsinthe Matrix E7chassis.Trafficflow
fromFTM2toFTM1canonlybeaccomplishedwitha7H438225,7H438249,7H438349,
or7H438549DFE module.
Eachofthefrontpanelports
canoperateineitherhalfduplexorfullduplexmodeof
operation.Theduplexmodecanbedeterminedbyeitherautonegotiationormanual
configuration.
TheDFE moduleportscanbeconfiguredtoprovideahigh levelofsecurity,controltraffic
bylimitingtherateoftrafficacceptedintothemodule
andprioritizingtraffictoexpedite
