Enterasys Matrix N5 Chassis 7C105-P Overview
TheEnterasys Matrix N5chassisprovidesfiveslotsforanewadvancedgenerationof
Ethernetswitchmodules,theEnterasysMatrixDFEseriesmodules.DFEmodules
installedinthe7C105‐Pchassis
operateasasystemwithasingleIPaddress.Themodular
designofthechassisenablesyoutoinstallthesystemandPoEpowersupplies,and
modulesfromthefrontofthechassisforeaseofmaintenance.
TheN5chassis
•usesadistributedswitchingarchitecture,
•allowshotswappingoftheDFEmodules,
• supportsredundantchassissystempowersupplies,
• supportsuptofourAC/DC48‐Volt300‐WattpowersupplymodulesforPoE
operation,
•canbeinstalledasafreestandingunitorinstalledintoastandard
48.26‐centimeter(19‐inch)rack(threechassiscanfitintoastandard7‐footrack),
• meetsprotectiveearth
groundingrequirementsoftheNationalElectricalCode(NEC)
UL60950andIEC 60950standards,
•hasaremovablefanassembly,whichishot‐swappablefromtherearofthechassis,
•isamodulardesignthatenablesyoutoinstallthesystemandPoEpowersupplies,
andmodulesfromthefrontofthechassis
foreaseofmaintenance,and
•hasallLEDstatusindicatorsobservablefromthefrontofthechassistoaidin
monitoringnetworkoperationalstatusandperformingmaintenance.
