Usetheproceduresinthissectiontoperformthefollowingrouterinterfaceconfigurationtasks:
• DisplayingInterfaceStatisticsandSettings
• ConfiguringInterfacesforIPRouting
Displaying Interface Statistics and Settings
Fromanyroutermode,usethiscommandtodisplayinformationaboutoneormoreinterfaces
(VLANsorloopbacks)configuredontherouter:
show [ip] interface [vlan vlan-id | loopback loopback-id]
SpecifyingipwilldisplayIP‐relatedinformation,includingstatusandconfigurationdetails,
aboutroutinginterfaces.Ifnotspecified,statisticsforallinterfacesconfiguredforroutingwill
bedisplayed.
IfinterfacetypeandIDarenotspecified,informationforallknowninterfaceswillbe
displayed.
Examples
Thisexampleshowshowtousetheshowinterfacecommandtodisplayinformationforall
interfacesconfiguredontherouter.Inthiscase,oneloopbackinterfacehasbeenconfiguredfor
routing.Table 7‐3providesadetaileddescriptionofthecommandoutput:

Note: To jump to a lower configuration mode, type exit at the command prompt. To revert back to
switch CLI, type exit from Privileged EXEC router mode.
