To enable RIP Routing, complete the following steps:
1. From the IP Configuration screen, highlight IP RIP and then press ENTER.
The IP RIP Configuration screen, shown in Figure 1-15, displays.
2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the System Level RIP option.
3. Use the ENTER key to toggle the entry to ENABLED.
4. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Port Level RIP option.
5. Use the ENTER key to toggle the entry to ENABLED.
6. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command field at the bottom of the screen, and then
press ENTER. The message “SAVED OK” displays.
7. Exit back out to the Router Setup screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the INITIALIZE
command, and use the ENTER key to initialize the device. The connection to Local
Management will disconnect and re-entry is necessary for any further configuration.
Access the IP RIP Configuration screen as before in order to continue configuration.
8. Use the arrow keys to highlight the RIP send info option.
