3-8 Local Management User’s Guide
get:
Syntax: get <PATH>
Description: The get command returns the value of a managed object. This is only
valid for “leaf” entries in the MIB tree (or managed objects in the MIB).
Options: Not Applicable
Example:
grep:
Syntax: grep <option> string
Description: Allows you to search the MIB tree for a specific character string. All
leafs in the MIB tree are searched.
Options: -m Displays on the terminal one screen at a time.
-i Ignores case when searching for string.
Example:
MIBNav-> get /1/3/6/1/2/1/1/1
#System name description
MIBNav-> grep -i cabletron # /1/3/6/1/2/1/1/1 sysDescr String Cabletron MMAC-Plus Revision 01_01_01
