otherendofthefiberopticsegment
mustmeet100BASEFXFastEthernetnetwork
requirementsforthedevicestooperateat100Mbps.IEEE802.3u100BASEFX
characteristicsforMultimodeFiberisasegmentlengthof412meters(switchedport)in
halfduplex,2kilometers(switchedport)infullduplex.Thisdistancewillbeconsiderably
shorterfrom
arepeaterport. Makesuretocheckyournetworkdiameterspecifications.

Note: When using the fixed RJ45 ports on the SecureStack A2 for 100 Mbps operation
use Category 5 UTP cabling with an impedance between 85 and 111 ohms for 100 Mbps
operation.
