Thisguideisintendedforanetworkadministratorresponsibleforinstallingandsetting
upthestackablesw itches.
Note: In this guide, the following terms are used:
• Switch refers to both switches (C3G124-24, C3G124-48)unless otherwise noted.
• MGBIC (Mini-Gigabit Interface Card) refers to optional small form pluggable (SFP)
interface modules that plug into the fixed front panel MGBIC slots.
Important Notice
Depending on the firmware version used in the C3G124-24 and C3G124-48 switches, some features
described in this document may not be supported. Refer to the Release Notes shipped with the
switch to determine which features are supported.
