Parameters
Table 18-1 Output of show ipv6 neighbor Command
Output field... What it displays...
IPv6 Address The IPv6 address of the neighbor on the interface.
Interface The interface on which this neighbor was discovered.
MAC Address The link layer address of the neighbor.
isRtr Shows whether the neighbor is a router. If the value is True, the
neighbor is known to be a router. Otherwise, the value is False.
Neighbor State State of the cache entry. Possible values are Incomplete,
Reachable, Stale, Delay, Probe, and Unknown.
Last Updated Shows the system uptime when the information for the neighbor
was last updated.
ipv6‐addr SpecifiesaspecificIPv6addressforwhichthebest‐matchingroute
shoudbedisplayed.
ipv6‐prefix/prefix‐length The IPv6networkprefixoftheroutetodisplay,andtheprefixlength.
TheprefixmustbeintheformdocumentedinRFC4291,withthe
addressspecifiedinhexadecimalusing16‐bit
valuesbetweencolons.
Theprefixlengthisadecimalnumberindicatingthenumberofhigh‐
ordercontiguousbitsoftheaddressthatcomprisethenetworkportion
oftheaddress.
