Performing Wireless AP Diagnostics Using Telnet

AsasupporttooltoperformdiagnosticdebuggingoftheWirelessAP,thecapabilitytoaccessthe

WirelessAPbytelnethasbeenprovided.Normally,telnetisdisabledandshouldbedisabled

againafterdiagnostics.Thisprocessshouldonlybeusedbysupportservices.

To enable telnet access:

1. Fromthemainmenu,clickWirelessAPConfiguration.TheWirelessAPConfiguration

screenappears.

2. Fromtheleftpane,clickAPRegistration.TheWirelessAPRegistrationscreenappears.

3. IntheTelnetAccessarea,inthePasswordbox,typethepasswordforaTelnetsession.

4. Toconfirmthepassword,intheConfirmPassword

box,re‐typethepassword.

Caution: For security reasons, telnet is disabled by default. Telnet should only be enabled to

perform diagnostic sessions. When completed, telnet should always be disabled.
