Usage
Therearefivetopologytypes:
•AdminThenative,predefinedtopologyoftheEnterasysWirelessControllermanagement
port.Thistopologyisnamedadmin.Youcannotcreatetopologieswiththenameadmin.
•B@ACBridgeTrafficLocallyatcontroller.RequiresLayer2configuration.Mayoptionally
haveLayer3configuration.Layer3
configurationwouldbenecessaryifservices(suchas
DHCP)arerequiredovertheconfigurednetworksegm ent,orifcontrollermanagement
operationsareintendedtobedonethroughthe configuredinterface.
•B@APBridgeTrafficLocallyatAP.RequiresLayer2configuration.DoesnotrequireLayer
3configuration.BridgeTrafficatthe
APtopologiesdonotrequirethedefinitionofa
correspondingIPaddresssincealltrafficforusersinthattopologywillbedirectlybridgedby
theWirelessAPatthelocalnetworkpointofattachment(VLANatAPport).
•RoutedRoutedtopology.RoutedtopologiesdonotneedanyLayer2
configuration,butdo
requireLayer3configuration.
•Physical—PhysicalEthernetporttopology.EachEthernetporthasapredefinedtopology.
Thenameofthetopologymatchesthenameoftheport(forexample,esa0).Youcannotcreate
topologieswiththenamesofthephysicalEthernetports.
Youcanchoosefromonly
threeofthetopologytypes(modes)whencreatingatopology:
•B@AC
•B@AP
•Routed
Onlytopologiesofthesethreetypescanbeassignedtopolicies.

Usethedeletecommandtodeleteatopologyobject.Thedeletecommandisaccessiblefromthe
topologycontextoftheCLI.
YoucannotdeletetheAdmintopologyoraphysicaltopology.
Syntax
delete <topology name>

Note: You cannot delete a topology that is being used by a policy.
