UsethiscommandtosetthemodeoftheMACaddresslist.IftheMACaddresslistmodeisblack,
theMACaddressesonthelistidentifyclientsthatarenotallowedtoassociatewiththeAP(a
“blacklist”).IftheMAClistmodeiswhite,onlytheclientsidentified
bytheMACaddresseson
thelistareallowedtoassociatewiththeAP(a“whitelist”).

4.3 defaults
Usethedefaultsreferstothedefaultscontext,whichcontainscommandstoconfigurethe
WirelessAP’sdefaultsettings .ThedefaultscommandisaccessiblefromtheapcontextoftheCLI.
<MACAddress> SpecifiestheMAC addresstobeaddedtotheMACaddresslist.
black SetstheMACaddresslistasablacklist,denyingclientsonthelistaccess
totheAP.Thisisthedefault.
white SetstheMACaddresslistasawhitelist,allowingonlyclientsonthelist
accesstotheAP.
Note: As the Wireless APs discover and register with the controller, they inherit the properties of the
default Wireless AP setting. You can modify the default Wireless AP setting either via the Enterasys
Wireless Assistant GUI or the CLI.
