Displaying RMON Statistics
Use the RMON Statistics screen to display key statistics for each port or
media module from RMON group 1. (RMON groups 2, 3 and 9 can only
be accessed using SNMP management software.) The following screen
displays the overall statistics on traffic passing through each port. RMON
statistics provide access to a broad range of statistics, including a total
count of different frame types and sizes passing through each port.
Values displayed have been accumulated since the last system reboot.

Internal Mac
Transmit Errors*
The number of frames for which transmission failed due to an
internal MAC sublayer transmit error.
Carrier Sense Errors* The number of times that the carrier sense condition was lost or
never asserted when attempting to transmit a frame.
Frames Too Long The number of frames received that exceed the maximum
permitted frame size.
Internal Mac
Receive Errors
The number of frames for which reception failed due to an internal
MAC sublayer receive error.
* The reported values will always be zero because these statistics are not
supported by the internal chip set.
