Troubleshooting
If you experience difficulty with the basic hardware or software setup procedures in this
guide, check the following table. If you find a description of the difficulty you are
experiencing, try the recommended resolution.
If the resolution does not remove the difficulty or it is not listed in this appendix, see
Appendix B for information about contacting Enterasys Networks for technical support.
If You Experience This Difficulty... Try this Remedy...
The Enterasys Xpedition (XP) exhibits
no activity (no LEDs are on, the fan
module is not operating, and so on).
Make sure the power supply is installed
and plugged into a power source and the
power source is active. Also check to see
whether the switch on the power supply is
in the ON position.
The power supply is installed but is not
operating.
Check the power cable and the circuit to
which the power supply is connected.
The fan module is not active. Check the power cable and the circuit to
which the power supply is connected.
If the green status LED on the power supply
indicates that it is active, immediately
power down the chassis, unplug the power
supply, and contact. The fan module may be
improperly connected or damaged.
