Usage
ThisfeatureallowsadministratorstoquicklyprovisionLLDPend‐pointsviatheswitch.LLDP
clientswillusetheseLLDPnetworkpolicyparametersfortrafficoriginatingfromtheend‐point.
AsdescribedintheANSI/TIAStandardsdocument1057,theNetworkPolicyTLVis“intendedfor
usewithapplicationsthathavespecificreal‐
timenetworkpolicyrequirements,suchasintera ctive
voiceand/orvideo services”andshouldbeimplementedonlyondirectlinksbetweennetwork
connectivitydevicesandendpointdevices.RefertotheANSI/TIAStandardsdocument1057for
descriptionsoftheapplicationtypes.
AfteryouconfigureNetworkPolicyTLVs,youmustalsoconfiguretheport
tosendtheNetwork
PolicyTLVwiththesetlldpporttx‐tlvcommand.

Syntax
clear lldp {all | tx-interval | hold-multiplier | trap-interval | med-fast-repeat}
Parameters
port‐string Specifiestheportorrangeofportstobeaffected.
all ReturnsallLLDPconfigurationparameterstotheirdefaultvalues,
includingportLLDPconfigurationparameters.
tx‐interval ReturnsthenumberofsecondsbetweentransmissionsofLLDP
frames.tothedefaultof30seconds.
hold‐multiplier Returnsthemultipliertoapplytothetransmitintervaltodetermine
thetime‐to‐livevaluetothedefault
valueof4.
trap‐interval ReturnstheminimumtimebetweenLLSPtraptransmissionstothe
defaultvalueof5seconds.
med‐fast‐repeat ReturnsthenumberoffaststartLLDPDUstobesentwhenanLLDP‐
MEDendpointdeviceisdetectedtothedefaultof3.
