Thehigh‐speedstackingcablesareoptionalitemsandmustbeorderedseparately.The
B2G124‐48andB2H124‐48supportthreetypesofSecureStackstackingcables:
•C2CAB‐SHORTcabletoconnecttwoadjacentswitchesinthestack.Ifthestackis
inaconfigurationwheretheadjacentswitchesaretoofar
apartfortheSHORT
cables,theLONGcablecanbeusedfortheconnections.
•C2CAB‐LONGcabletoconnectfromthetopswitchtothebottomswitchinthe
stack.YouneedonlyoneC2CAB‐LONGcableperstack.
•C2CAB‐5Mcabletoconnectfromthetopswitchtothebottomswitch
inthestack
whenthesetwoswitchesarephysicallylocatedinseperatemountingracksand
requirealongercablereach.
Figure 3‐7showsanexampleofafour‐highstackconnectedinaringtopology.AllSTACK
DOWNandSTACKUPconnectorsareusedintheinstal lation.Thehigh‐speedstacking
cableconnectionsarefromtheSTACKDOWNconnectorofoneswitchtotheSTACKUP
connectorofthenextswitchupinthestack.Ahigh‐speedstackingcableconnectionfrom
theSTACKDOWNconnectorofthe switchatthetopofthestacktotheSTACKUP
connectorat
thebottomofthestackcompletestheringconnection.Inadaisychain
topology,onecableconnectionisnotmade.
Note: The B2G124-24 supports only the C2CAB-SHORT and C2CAB-LONG stacking
cables.
