11.1.1 TCP/IP Configuration
Click StartSettingsNetworkTCP/IP to go to the following interface. Check Obtain an
IPv4 address automatically, Obtain an IPv6 address automatically and Obtain DNS
automatically to get the network addresses automatically, or manually enter the network
addresses. You can modify the MTU value according to the network condition (MTU,
Maximum Transmission Unit, can be modified according to network condition for higher
network transmission efficiency). Click Apply to save the settings.
Multiple Ethernet Ports Setting
If the DVR has two network ports or above, you can select the network work pattern as
required.
Network Fault Tolerance:
The two network ports will be bound to one IP address if you select the Network Fault
Tolerance pattern. There are many advantages of this work pattern: 1. increase the bandwidth;
2. form a network redundant array to share the load. When a failure happens to one network
port, the other port will take over the entire load immediately. The takeover process is seamless
and the network service will not be broken off.
If Network Fault Tolerance is selected, check Obtain an IPv4 address automatically,
Obtain an IPv6 address automatically and Obtain DNS automatically to get the network
addresses automatically, or manually enter the network addresses; select one Ethernet port as
the primary card and then click Apply to save the settings.
Multiple Address Setting:
If Multiple Address Setting is selected, the IP addresses of the two Ethernet ports should be
set respectively.
