1 GEN ERAL DESCRI PTI ON
The radio t ransm it t er device PTM 210 / PTM 210C from EnOcean enables t he im plem ent a-
tion of wireless rem ote controls wit hout bat t eries. Power is provided by a built - in electro-
dynam ic power generat or. The PTM 210 / PTM 210C device serves t he 868 MHz / 315 MHz
air int erface prot ocol of EnOcean.

1 .1 Ba sic Funct ionalit y
A com m on electro- dynam ic energy t ransducer is act uat ed by a bow (1) , which can be
pushed from out side t he device by an appropriat e push but ton or swit ch rocker. When the
energy bow is pushed down, elect rical energy is creat ed and an RF telegram is t ransm it t ed
including a 32- bit device I D. Releasing t he energy bow generates different t elegram dat a,
so every PTM t elegram contains the inform ation t hat the bow was pressed or released.
“ Long” or “ Short” push but t on operat ion (t he t im e bet ween pushing and releasing t he
pushbut t on) can be easily det ected by t he receiver. By doing t hat , applicat ions such as
dim m ing cont rol or blinds cont rol including slat act ion are sim ple t o im plem ent .
I n addition, t he PTM telegram t ransm it s the operat ing st at us of t he cont act nipples ( 2)
when pressing the bow. This enables t he ident ification of up t o 2 appropriat e swit ch rockers
or up t o 4 pushbutt ons.
