2 .3 Tr ansm ission t im ing
The t ransm ission t im ing of t he radio device PTM 210C has been developed t o avoid possible
collisions wit h dat a packages of other EnOcean t ransm it ters as well as dist urbances from
t he environm ent .
Wit h each transm ission cycle, at least t hree ident ical subtelegram s are t ransm it t ed. The
transm ission of a subt elegram last s approxim at ely 0.7 m s. To opt im ize dat a securit y, each
t elegram is repeated twice wit hin about 40 m s, whereas t he delay bet ween t he second and
the third t ransm ission burst is effect ed at random .
I f som e residual energy is available aft er t ransm ission of t hree subtelegram s, up t o 2 fur-
t her subtelegram s are sent ( PTM 210C only) .
