C. Known issues
1. In Microsoft Windows server 2003 or Windows XP, there is at least a
LUN 0 in each SCSI ID; otherwise, it cannot be recognized. Windows
2000 server has not such constraint.
Workaround solution: In Windows server 2003 or Windows XP,
attach LUN from LUN 0.
2. Because the Linux driver of Adaptec SCSI Card 29320A-R, 39320A-R
has some problems, it cannot negotiate with Ultra 320 speed.
Workaround solution: Turning off “Packetized” and “QAS” in
Adaptec SCSI BIOS and setting the speed to 160/sec.
3. When attached two LUNs or more, Dell PowerEdge 800 server with
Ultra 320 SCSI HBA LSI Logic LSI22320-R will hang up in booting.
Workaround solution: Power on Dell PowerEdge 800 server first.
After passing LSI Logic LSI22320-R bios scan, power on UltraStor
RS8 subsystems.
4. It can succeed to ping the management port of the controller, but fail to
access Web GUI.
Workaround solution: Connect the Ethernet cable into management
port before turning on power.
