potentiallyhotstoveparts,evenifyouthinktheyshouldbecold.

thestepslistedinthe“DailyMaintenance,”“BiweeklyMaintenance,”and“Monthly

SOOTANDFLYASH:FORMATIONANDNEEDFORREMOVAL

Theproductsofcombustionwillcontainsmallparticlesofflyash.Theflyashwillcollectinthe

exhaustventingsystemandrestricttheflowofthefluegases.Incompletecombustion,suchas

thatwhichoccursduringstartup,shutdownorincorrectoperationoftheroomheaterwilllead

tosomesootformationwhichwillcollectintheexhaustventingsystem.Theexhaustventing

systemshouldbeinspectedatleastonceeveryyeartodetermineifcleaningisnecessary.
