IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. Installation of this Pellet/Corn/Multi-fuel unit should be performed by a professional only. Check local installation codes for your area. Call your Homeowner’s Insurance representative for inspection of your stove’s installation. 2. Read and comply with the instructions in this manual. 3. This unit should be tested (dry run) for 20 minutes before loading pellets or cherry pits. The stove should automatically shut itself off after the 20-minute dry run. Corn is a 30-minute cycle.
12. Keep corn, pellets and all other combustible materials a safe distance from the unit. 13. This unit will require floor protection if installed on a combustible surface. The minimum floor protector for this unit is 36” x 48” which should give you at least six inches (6”) of protection at the rear and at each side, and six inches (6”) minimum in the front of the unit. 14. Horizontal runs should not exceed four feet (4’) with a maximum vertical flue height of thirty five feet (35’).
UNIT PREPARATION 1. Attach the spring handle to the door by turning it counterclockwise. Important: Also check hopper latch – must be tight so that the top is sealed to prevent back-burn. 2. Test your 110-volt outlet for current and then plug in the unit. (Must be a 15A circuit minimum, should be 20A if circuit is GFIC protected. We highly recommend a surge protector for our unit, as the control panel is electronic). 3. Be sure to “dry run” your unit for 20 minutes before connecting it to the flue.
The Pellet/Corn/Multi-fuel stove is tested for operation with corn with 14% or less moisture content; it is recommended that corn with 11-12% moisture be used for most efficient operation of this unit. Corn with over 12% moisture has a lower BTU value and will be hard to burn on the lower settings. Corn must be clean and free from debris; never burn corn straight from the field. Stalk parts, excessive fines and cob remnants, etc. will clog the auger mechanism.

NOTE: YOUR UNIT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED INSTALLER, SUCH AS AN NFI CERTIFIED SPECIALIST GUIDELINES FOR EXHAUST VENTING SYSTEMS DESIGN INSTALL VENT AT CLEARANCES SPECIFIED BY THE VENT MANUFACTURER A UL listed three-inch or four-inch (3”or 4”) type “L” corn vent exhaust system must be used for installation and attached to the pipe connector provided on the back of the unit. Use a three-inch to four-inch (3” to 4”) adapter for four-inch (4”) pipe.
Total length of horizontal vent must not exceed 48” (4 ft.). Use three-inch (3”) U.L.approved CORN VENT TWIST-LOCK PIPE when installing this stove and follow the manufacturer’s specifications for installation and clearances (we highly recommend DuraVent corn twist-lock pipe – our Part Number AC-33000). Even though this pipe interlocks, it is recommended to seal all connections with high temperature silicone (our Part Number AC-RTV3) or aluminum duct seal tape.
BURNING SOLID FUELS Ashes will need to be removed from the unit periodically. See Ash Removal section. You can minimize cleaning required and maximize efficiency by maintaining the proper draft. This unit has been designed to burn premium pellets, dry shelled corn or dried cherry pits that meet the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) standards. WOOD PELLETS Be consistent in your choice of wood pellet supplier. characteristics from supplier to supplier.
FLUE SYSTEM Caution: Follow the pipe manufacturer’s installation instructions and directions for passing through combustible walls and ceilings. Be sure to check local codes in your area. NOTE: See the installation drawing later in this manual (Illustration 1). This unit is equipped with a negative draft system that pulls combustion air through the burnpot and pushes the exhaust air out of the dwelling.
The through-the-wall installation is the least expensive and simplest installation. In a throughthe-wall installation you should be mindful of the snowdrift line, as well as dead grass and leaves. We recommend a three foot (3’) minimum vertical rise on the inside or the outside of the dwelling.
Freestanding Pellet/Corn/Multi-fuel Installation Caution: Follow the pipe manufacturer’s installation instructions and directions for passing through combustible walls and ceilings. Check local codes in your area. Illustration 1 Our Part AC-33000 is acceptable for through-the-wall installation. (We recommend 4” for 2500+ ft. installations, Our Part AC-33100.) Must have minimum 3” adapter before tee for longer run. For shorter run, tee alone is acceptable.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE WITH THE DOOR OPEN. Do not burn trash (paper bags, etc.) in this unit. This stove has an induced draft system and is designed to operate continuously, as frequent shutdown is not required. The setting of the “Heat Range” touch pad will control the heat output and the amount of fuel the unit will burn (see “Control Board” section). NOTE: This stove is using solid fuel and will not restart automatically unless a thermostat is installed.
WARNING! For pellets and corn, when the “Air On” button on the bottom of the Control Board is pressed, you must make sure you see the number “1“ in the Blower Speed window. The Stirrer must be running in the pellet and corn modes (mode 1 – pellet; mode 5 – corn, see Fuel Change Procedure, page 16). (As previously stated, the Stirrer will stop if you press the “Air On” button and press the Blower Speed and Heat Range arrows down until you see a zero (0) in the window.
NOTE If the unit does not start or maintain a fire, you will receive an E-2 in the Heat Range and Blower Speed window of the Control Board. If this occurs, wait until unit has cooled completely down and repeat. Locking Collar Hitch Pin Illustration 3 Hitch Pin Illustration 4 To remove the Stirrer for cleaning While the unit is COLD and the unit is off, press and hold the “AIR ON TEMP” (i.e. “Air On”) button until the Stirrer is at the “12:00” position (with the 4 prongs pointing up).
FUEL CHANGE PROCEDURE When starting the stove with corn, push the “AIR ON TEMP” button and hold, which will rotate the Stirrer mechanism in the burnpot. Release the button when the 4-prong side of the Stirrer is straight up (in the “12:00” position, as shown in Illustration 2, page 13). Then follow the previous instructions concerning placing the handful of pellets in the burnpot and starting your fire (Manually Starting Your Unit, page 14).
E-Codes “E-Codes,” or Error Codes, are codes that will appear in the Heat Range and Blower Speed windows of the Control Board if your unit experiences problems. If you receive these codes, wait until the unit is cooled completely down before trying to restart your unit. If the unit continues to display any E-Code(s), please contact Technical Support at (800) 245-6489 before further attempting to restart your unit.
SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURE WARNING: NEVER SHUT DOWN THIS UNIT BY UNPLUGGING IT FROM THE POWER SOURCE. Refer to the following instructions: Press the “OFF” touch pad to put the stove in the “Shut-Down” mode. There will be an “S D” in the Heat Range and Blower Speed windows while the unit is shutting down to verify this. At this time the red light above the “OFF” pad will illuminate.
DAILY OPERATION Refueling the Unit Always press the “OFF” touch pad before refueling. The hopper on this stove holds approximately 50-lbs. (wood pellets), and should be refilled when the fuel level drops to three or four inches. Note: The hopper lid will be warm; therefore, you should always use some type of hand protection. NEVER place your hand near the auger while the stove is operating. Note: Always ensure that all corn and pellet matter is cleared from the hopper lid gasket before closing.
As with any maintenance concerning this unit, be sure the unit is “OFF” and has completed the ShutDown cycle BEFORE beginning. Be aware that metal parts in the firebox can remain HOT long after the fire has gone out and EVEN after the Shut-Down cycle is complete. Always use extreme caution when handling potentially hot stove parts, even if you think they should be cold.
Soot and Fly ash: Formation and Need for Removal – The products of combustion will contain small particles of fly ash. The fly ash will collect in the exhaust venting system and restrict the flow of flue gases. Incomplete combustion, such as occurs during startup, shutdown, or incorrect operation of the room heater will lead to some soot formation which will collect in the exhaust venting system. The exhaust venting system should be inspected at least once every year to determine if cleaning is necessary.
As with any maintenance concerning this unit, be sure the unit is “OFF” and has completed the ShutDown cycle BEFORE beginning. Be aware that metal parts in the firebox can remain HOT long after the fire has gone out and EVEN after the Shut-Down cycle is complete. Always use extreme caution when handling potentially hot stove parts, even if you think they should be cold. Replacing the Stirrer Drive Motor 7. Locate the access panel on the right side of stove (looking from front of stove).
Gaskets IMPORTANT: IMPROPER GASKET MAINTENANCE, INCLUDING FAILURE TO REPLACE GASKETS, CAN CAUSE AIR LEAKS RESULTING IN SMOKE-BACKS. This unit comes with a 1/2” rope gasket around the door that should be replaced annually. To replace the door gasket (Part # AC-DGKCPM), the old gasket must first be removed entirely — prior to adding the new adhesive, you may have to scrape the old cement from the door channel.
Control Board The Control Board (Part # CPM-CB07) is a digital read-out board. This board offers a wide variety of settings to operate the unit. This part can be removed from the unit by loosening the two outside screws and pulling the board back to the inside of the stove. The rear access panel should be removed prior to removing the control board. A 6-amp “quick-blow” fuse is used on this Control Board. See safety notes below diagram.

Stirrer Three minutes after starting, the Stirrer will begin to turn. When starting, the auger will begin to turn. Auger Room Fan (Convection) Begins when 110 degrees is reached. Automatic Shutdown If, after 15 minutes, the unit has not reached the preset operating temp., the unit will begin to automatically shut down.
ACCESSORY ITEMS The following accessories can be added to your unit at anytime after purchase; however, let the unit cool down before adding any accessories. Thermostat An external thermostat (such as our Part # PU‐DTSTAT (wall) or Part # AC‐3003 (remote)) can be used on our Pellet/Corn/Multi‐fuel units as long as it is a low‐voltage that works with millivolt systems. After unplugging the unit, locate the “jumper” wire (J‐18) on the bottom of the control board.

Adjusting your Hopper Lid Latch The seals around the top of the pellet hopper are important to safe and efficient operation of the unit. The latch installed on these units is designed to pull the hopper lid tight against this seal. Over the course of operation as these seals “wear in” and compress, the tension of the latch should be tested periodically, and adjusted if necessary. To adjust the lid latch, the following tools will be needed; two ½ inch wrenches, or a ½ inch wrench and a ½ inch socket.

Additional Venting Information Do not mix and match components from different pipe manufacturers when assembling your venting system (i.e. Do NOT use venting pipe from one manufacturer and a thimble from another). We require a minimum vertical rise of 36 in. (3 ft.) of pipe to create natural draft in the system, which helps evacuate smoke from the stove in the event of a power failure or combustion blower failure. Venting systems 15.0 ft. or shorter may be composed entirely of 3.0 in.
OUTSIDE AIR HOOK‐UP The use of outside combustion air is mandatory on this pellet stove. The outside air connection pipe protrudes from the lower rear center of the stove; use the included outside air kit to attach your stove to outside combustion air. Instructions and all the parts needed to make the outside air connection to your pellet stove are included with the outside air kit.
Daily Operation Notes Only high quality, ¼” (.25 in.) diameter wood pellets, should be used in this stove. Using low grade wood pellets with high ash content OR wood pellets with a high moisture content can cause the burn pot to fill with ash at a more rapid pace and can cause intervals between periodic maintenance to become significantly shorter. Please read the “Maintenance” section of this manual thoroughly to understand how fuel selection affects stove operation, maintenance and cleaning.
‐ Air Controls: Your pellet stove is equipped with a control board that automatically adjusts the air to fuel ratio for optimum emissions. See your owner’s manual for information on operating the control board, and for other operational information on achieving the best burn, including these tips: The control board on this stove allows the user to adjust the heat output and convection blower speed, and turn the unit on and off.

Distance des matériaux combustibles : 0,91 m. COMBUSTION DE MATIÈRES SOLIDES Vous devez retirer les cendres de l’appareil périodiquement. Consultez la section « Retrait des cendres ». Vous pouvez réduire le nettoyage nécessaire et optimiser l’efficacité de votre appareil en maintenant un tirage approprié. L’appareil est conçu pour la combustion de granules de première qualité, de maïs égrené sec ou de noyaux de cerise séchés qui répondent aux normes du Pellet Fuel Institute (PFI).

Installation de l’appareil autoportant à granules, à maïs et multicombustible Attention : Suivez les instructions du fabricant du tuyau pour l’installation et les instructions pour le faire passer à travers un mur ou un plafond combustible. MODE D’EMPLOI ATTENTION : NE PAS UTILISER CET APPAREIL AVEC LA PORTE OUVERTE. Ne brûlez pas de déchets (sacs en papier, etc.) dans cet appareil. Ce poêle est muni d’un système de tirage par aspiration et est conçu pour fonctionner de façon continue, puisqu’il n’est pas nécessaire de l’éteindre fréquemment. Le réglage de la commande tactile « Heat Range » (plage de chaleur) contrôle l’apport de chaleur et la quantité de combustible brûlée par l’appareil (consultez la section « Panneau de commande »).
AVERTISSEMENT! Pour les granules et le maïs, lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton « Air On Temp » (température de l’air entrant) situé au bas du panneau de commande, vous devez vous assurer que l’écran de la vitesse du ventilateur affiche le chiffre « 1 ». L’agitateur doit fonctionner en mode de combustion de granules et de maïs (mode 1 – granules, mode 5 – maïs. Consultez la section « Procédure de changement de combustible » à la page 17).
REMARQUE Si l’appareil ne démarre pas ou si le feu s’éteint, le code E-2 s’affichera sur les écrans associés à la plage de chaleur et à la vitesse du ventilateur sur le panneau de commande. Dans un tel cas, laissez l’appareil refroidir complètement et répétez le processus.
PROCÉDURE DE CHANGEMENT DE COMBUSTIBLE Lorsque vous démarrez le poêle pour brûler du maïs, appuyez sur le bouton « AIR ON TEMP » (température de l’air entrant) et maintenez-le enfoncé, ce qui fera tourner le mécanisme de l’agitateur dans le pot de combustion. Relâchez le bouton une fois que le côté à 4 dents de l’agitateur pointe vers le haut (vers l’endroit où se trouve le 12 sur une horloge, comme le montre l’illustration 2 à la page 14).
E-Codes Les « E-Codes » ou codes d’erreur sont des codes qui apparaissent sur les écrans d’affichage associés à la plage de chaleur et à la vitesse du ventilateur dans le panneau de commande, lorsque votre appareil ne fonctionne pas normalement. Si l’un de ces codes apparaît, laissez l’appareil refroidir complètement avant de tenter de remettre l’appareil en marche.
PROCÉDURE D’ARRÊT AVERTISSEMENT : N’ARRÊTEZ JAMAIS CET APPAREIL EN LE DÉBRANCHANT DE LA SOURCE D’ALIMENTATION. Consultez les instructions suivantes : Appuyez sur la commande tactile « OFF » pour mettre le poêle en mode « Arrêt ». Les lettres « S D » apparaîtront sur les écrans d’affichage associés à la plage de chaleur et à la vitesse du ventilateur pendant que l’appareil s’éteint pour le confirmer. À ce moment, la lumière rouge située au-dessus de la commande « OFF » s’allumera.
UTILISATION QUOTIDIENNE Ravitaillement de l’appareil Appuyez toujours sur la commande tactile « OFF » avant d’effectuer le ravitaillement. La trémie du poêle contient environ 22,67 kg (granules de bois) et devrait être remplie lorsque le niveau de combustible baisse à 7,62 cm ou 10,16 cm. Remarque : Le couvercle de la trémie sera chaud. Ainsi, vous devriez toujours vous protéger les mains. Ne placez JAMAIS votre main près de la vis à granules pendant que le poêle fonctionne.
Comme pour toute autre tâche d’entretien de ce produit, assurez-vous que l’appareil est hors tension (« OFF ») et qu’il soit complètement arrêté AVANT de procéder à l’entretien. N’oubliez pas que les pièces métalliques du foyer peuvent rester CHAUDES longtemps après que les flammes se sont éteintes et MÊME longtemps après l’arrêt complet de l’appareil. Soyez toujours très prudent lorsque vous manipulez des pièces du poêle qui peuvent être chaudes, même si vous pensez qu’elles ont refroidi.
Suie et cendres volantes : Formation et importance du retrait – Les produits de combustion contiendront de petites particules de cendres volantes. Ces cendres volantes s’accumulent dans le système d’évacuation par ventilation et restreignent le flux des gaz de combustion. La combustion incomplète, comme celle qui survient lors du démarrage et de l’arrêt du poêle ou en cas de mauvais fonctionnement du poêle, produira de la suie qui s’accumulera dans le système d’évacuation par ventilation.

Joints d’étanchéité IMPORTANT : L’ENTRETIEN INADÉQUAT DES JOINTS, Y COMPRIS LE DÉFAUT DE REMPLACEMENT DES JOINTS, PEUT SE TRADUIRE PAR DES FUITES D’AIR CAUSANT DES RETOURS DE FUMÉE. Cet appareil est livré avec un joint d’étanchéité de 12,7 mm autour de la porte, qui doit être remplacé annuellement. Pour remplacer le joint d’étanchéité de la porte (numéro de pièce AC-DGKCPM), retirez d’abord le vieux joint en entier.
Panneau de commande Le panneau de commande (numéro de pièce CPM-CB07) est un panneau d’affichage numérique. Ce panneau comprend plusieurs réglages qui permettent de faire fonctionner l’appareil. Cette pièce peut être retirée de l’appareil en desserrant les deux vis externes et en poussant le panneau vers l’intérieur du poêle. Le panneau d’accès arrière devrait être retiré avant de retirer le panneau de commande. Le panneau de commande utilise un fusible à action rapide de 6 ampères.
FONCTIONS DE LA CARTE DE CIRCUITS COMPOSANT Ventilateur d’évacuation (combustion) Agitateur Vis à granules MISE EN MARCHE ARRÊT Démarrage immédiat. Fonctionnera jusqu’à l’arrêt. L’arrêt se fera lorsque la température de fonctionnement descend sous les 32,2 °C. Trois minutes après la mise en marche, l’agitateur commencera à tourner. Au démarrage, la vis à granules se mettra à tourner.
ACCESSOIRES Les accessoires suivants peuvent être ajoutés à votre appareil à n’importe quel moment après l’achat. Cependant, laissez l’appareil se refroidir avant d’ajouter n’importe quel accessoire. Thermostat Un thermostat externe (tel que nos numéros de pièces PU‐DTSTAT [mural] ou AC‐3003 [avec commande à distance]) peut être utilisé sur nos appareils à granules, à maïs ou à multicombustibles tant qu’il est à basse tension et qu’il fonctionne avec le système millivolt.

Ajustements des loquets du couvercle de la trémie Les joints d’étanchéité autour de la partie supérieure de la trémie à granules sont essentiels pour le fonctionnement sûr et efficace de l’appareil. Le loquet installé sur cet appareil sert à tenir le couvercle de la trémie serré sur ce joint. Au fil des utilisations, ces joints « s’usent » et se compressent. La tension du loquet doit donc être vérifiée périodiquement et ajustée au besoin.
