Note:

Pin 7 is labeled "RTS". It is used to set the main microcontroller to ISP (in-system

programming) mode for a software download. The µ C runs an autopolling

routing immediately after the unit is powered up. For this reason, the preamp

may only be switched on after the Remote Control Panel has been launched on

the PC. This ensures that the correct logic level is sent to RTS pin 7. Special

software is required for a software update. More on this in the section on

updating.
