The new
Super Lock
feature dis-
ables all but
push-to-talk
(PTT) and vol-
ume settings
to prevent
accidental
channel
changes. The
ProTalk now
has a Wireless
Cloning option, exclusive to
Kenwood, to duplicate setup of
multiple units. The Time-Out
Timer conserves the battery and
allows for up to 18 hours of talk
time (5-5-90).
A sleek and rugged case makes
this radio easy to use, with large
channel and volume knobs. This
super-durable radio has met all
eleven Mil-Std 810 C, D, E and F
standards for ruggedness and
water resistance, including the
“blowing rain” specification and
passes international IP 54.55
moisture and dust tests.
ProTalk now has internal
VOX so it is hands-free ready,
with the addition of a Kenwood
headset. The portable features
Kenwood-enhanced audio,
with high clarity and fidelity,
and speakers that deliver up to
500 mW.
The two-watt ProTalk comes
in two- and eight-channel mod-
els. The VHF version (TK-2200
has 27 pre-stored frequencies.
The UHF model (TK-3200) has
56 pre-stored frequencies. Each
has a range of up to six miles.
Each ProTalk comes complete
and ready-to-use with an 18-
hour NiMH battery, three-hour
fast charger, spring-action belt
clip and antenna.
