SSL Certicate
The Secure Socket Layer protocol is used to ensure
secure transactions and transmissions between web
serversandbrowsers.AnSSLcerticateservesasan
electronic passport that establishes an online entity’s
credentials when accessing the Web. When a user at-
temptstosendcondentialinformationtoaWebserver,
the user’s browser must access the server’s digital cer-
ticateandestablishesasecureconnection.Adminis-
tratorscancreateaself-signedSSLCerticatetosecure
communications between the Switch and Access Points.
Note that Access Points will disconnect and reconnect
usingnewcerticateuponapplyingchanges.
Generate a New Certicate
Enter the information below to generate a request for an
SSLcerticateforthecontroller.
Common Name:
Enter the name of the request.
Organization:
Enter the organizations name.
Organization Unit:
Enter a unit name (department, etc.).
Locality/City:
Enter the locality or city.
State/Province:
Enter the state or province.
Apply: Click APPLY to update the the system settings.
