Adjusting the Zoom

The lens moves during the zoom photography. Zoom photography allows you to capture telephoto and

wide-angle images. The subject appears closer by pressing the [ T ] telephoto button and appear

farther away by pressing the [ W ] wide-angle button.

1. Rotate the mode dial based on your desired scenery

(Auto/Program/Scene/Tv/Av/Manual/Video) and power on

your camera.

2. Compose your image by pressing the [ T ] telephoto button

or the [ W ] wide-angle button.

Press and hold the [ T ] telephoto button until the maximum

telephoto position. Press again the [ T ] telephoto button to activate

the digital zoom function.

Toggle continuously the [ T ] telephoto button. Digital zoom’s range

is from 1.25x to 4x within 11 stages:1.25x, 1.5x, 1.67x, 1.75x, 2x,

2.25x, 2.5x, 3x, 3.33x, 3.5x and 4x.

To exit the digital zoom, toggle continuously the [ W ] wide-angle

button until it returns to the optical zoom status.

3. Press the shutter button to capture a “zoomed” image.

Digital zoom cannot be used in [ ]Video mode.
