ATTENTION: Do not allow the cable to lie in contact with the roof surface. If
necessary, route the cable neatly along the racking using cable clips.
6.6 Connecting the single or duo micro inverter
WARNING: Whenever the PV module is exposed to light, it supplies a DC voltage.
Follow all safety instructions and warnings provided by the module manufacturer’s
documentation.
WARNING: All electrical connectors must be dry before making any connections and
must be kept dry during the installation process. AC cables are supplied with
protective end caps that should only be removed immediately before making the
connections.
Single micro inverter
Duo micro inverter
AC connection to the distribution units to
create a branch.
AC connection to the distribution units
to create a branch.
External continuous ground wire connection
to screw on micro inverter case (in countries where
necessary).
External continuous ground wire connection
to screw on micro inverter case (in countries
where necessary).
2 x DC link connections to the PV module.
4 x DC link connections to the PV module.
ATTENTION: For installations using duo micro inverters, the junction boxes of the 2 PV
modules should be close to each other in order to connect 2 modules to the duo
inverter.
6.6.1 Connection Instructions for single and duo micro inverters
❶ Remove the protective caps from the AC branch cables / bus extension cables
immediately prior to connection to the distribution units.
Note that the grey locking tabs stay with the inverter connector. Do not discard them.
❷ Connect the AC branch cables to the
distribution units.
A maximum of three micro inverters can
be connected to any one distribution unit.
It is required to use end caps to seal any
open AC connection points.
ATTENTION:
For the micro inverters to be installed
correctly, the AC bus cable connections
must be fully engaged.
If they are connected properly, there will be
an audible click.
