Monitor Presets dropdown menu
A range of preset monitoring configurations is provided; click on the ;.+5$.)' ()%#%$K button to
open a drop-down list. These presets allow simple selection of common monitoring configurations.
For the monitor presets to work correctly, you must have your speakers connected to the line outputs
as shown in the table on page 17.
The Monitor Presets function as follows:
I** – all monitor control buttons disabled; all analogue outputs are off.
;.+.only Line Output 3 is enabled. Connect to a centrally-located speaker for working in
mono.
!$%)%. – Line Outputs 1 and 2 (Monitor 1 and 2) are enabled. All other channels are muted.
Connect Output 1 to your left monitor and 2 to your right.
O/10 Line Outputs 1, 2, 7 and 8 are enabled. All other channels are muted. Connect Outputs
1 and 2 as for stereo; Output 7 to Rear Left and 8 to Rear Right.
6>3'!/))./+0 – Line Outputs 1, 2 and 4 are enabled. All other channels are muted. Connect
Outputs 1 and 2 as for stereo, and Output 4 to your sub-bass (LFE) speaker.
P>3' !/))./+0 Line Outputs 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8 are enabled; Outputs 5 and 6 are muted.
Connect Outputs 1 and 2 as for stereo; Output 3 is the C channel, Outputs 7 and 8 are Left and
Right Surround respectively, and Output 4 is the sub-bass (LFE) channel.
Q>3'!/))./+0 – Outputs 1 to 8 are enabled and Outputs 9 and 10 are muted. Connect as for
5.1 Surround, adding Left Side speakers to Output 5 and Right Side to Output 6.
;50'R'(S.+%#'3 for use with multiple pairs of stereo monitors; connect a pair of midrange
monitors to Outputs 7 and 8.
;5+5'R'(S.+%#'6 – as above; connect a pair of near-field monitors to Outputs 9 and 10.
Monitor Section Controls
The controls in Scarlett MixControls Monitor section will affect those channels that have been
selected for monitor control (i.e., those displaying ‘blue’ status - see above).
